The Ottheinrichsbau in Heidelberg, which was destroyed in the Palatinate War of Succession (1688-1697), is shown here without roof and ceilings, giving the façade a ghostly transparency. The window openings are not dark, as is usually the case on the ground floor on the right, but rather they largely open the view to the sky and thus confuse the spectator, similar to the roller blinds lowered in Caponigros "Olson House, Cushing, Maine" in 1990.
