Comment

Idyllic and typical image for Paris - not without reason, the photographer Albert Monier has sold over 80 million postcards of his photographs. He has probably also contributed to the romanticized image of the city of love that we are familiar with. In the background, the city's second oldest surviving stone arch bridge, the Pont Marie, and on the right, the Quai de Bourbon on the Seine island Île Saint-Louis. The picture was taken from the Pont Louis Philippe bridge over the Seine, very close to the Katedrale Notre-Dame.
