The model in the background enviously looks at the model in the foreground who is also wearing a striped dress.
Pedestrians and the driver of the Vespa are totally uninvolved. They fail to notice the direct link of the striped dresses with the pedestrian crossing; this is only visibly from the elevated position of the photographer.
