"Every country is fascinating and unique in its own way. It was important to me to focus on the people and to capture their living environments. A respectful treatment and pictures that show the people in a dignified way are very important to me. With the camera I venture into places I would rather avoid. The visual effect is decisive, therefore I try to take pictures already in the morning light.
