Otta Breicha created this series of portraits during his numerous encounters with artists, quasi in passing by. They are characterized by a certain close-up view where partly the pose of the pictured person and partly the snapshot-like moment dominates the composition.
The restraint of the photographer towards the pictured person is remarkable.
