"Hotel The Strand in Rangun, Burma"

On Friday, January 20, 2017, a plaque was unveiled at The Strand Hotel in Rangoon, Burma.
It commemorates the stays of H. H. CAPOR in this hotel.

In the lobby and corridors of large, old hotels often hang pictures of famous people who were guests here. It is obviously very important to these houses to ennoble themselves with personalities of public fame. My portrait is now also part of the guest gallery.
In the form of an intervention in public space, the picture of me overleaf with text referring to my stay in this hotel was placed in the lobby of the hotel. The action, thanks to the density of today's surveillance, was soon terminated; after all, it was neither announced nor approved.
