Comment

Zobernig uses functional backgrounds from the film and TV world for his work "Television CS". The colored Hitech fabrics are used for the so-called chroma keying (formerly Bluebox process) to free people in the film and reinsert them in front of fictitious backgrounds or fade in live backgrounds on television (for example, news broadcasts). The name of the series refers to the name of the material itself. With his work reduced to the absolute minimum, Zobernig poses questions about reality in art. Does art really exist? How real are promises made in art spaces?
