Comment

The spoon was mens first tool for eating and the beginning of our food culture.
The fact that during a flight at a hight of 10.000m, an outside temperature of minus 50 degrees celcius and a speed of aprox. 900km/h food gets served as if all these circumstances were absolutely normal, always had a calming effect to me and helped me to relativise my fear of flying.
These spoons I took along from flights and for some of them I let my friends do so. Therefore those spoons with their beautiful shapes have a very personal history.
I like the different forms and the fact that spoons are also used in cultures where one eats with chopsticks or hands.
Nowadays those spoons are only to be found in business class.
I’ve almost overcome my fear of flying.
